The Lincoln Tunnel to Ferguson

November 26, 2014 by William Eaton

I regrettably ended up with the more dysfunctional of the two ‘solidarity with Ferguson’ protests last night. I didn’t think marching to Times Square was desirable in the first place. Somewhere along the way, however, we went west, and half-an-hour later ended up at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel. For those who are familiar with NYC geography, that is a considerable and complex diversion, not merely a wrong turn. I asked several people how/why we ended up there. The only person who […]

“A Poem for Women Who Don’t Want Children”

July 8, 2014 by Ana Maria Caballero

I come across all sorts of poems in my continuous hunt for poetry contests and literary journals that might house the verses I wrestle to write. Yesterday, I came across a jewel. Cultural meltdown: 18-24 August 2013 (ZiR)

August 20, 2013 by Alexia Raynal

Alexia Raynal, Zeteo Managing Editor [One in an ongoing series of posts. For the full series see Zeteo is Reading.] 18 August 2013 I’ve recently heard my friends speak about seemingly “new” neighborhoods. They talk about SoHa and SoBro—which really mean South Harlem and South Bronx. . .the revitalized self in them. I guess they call them that way to avoid negative stereotypes. How would people judge them if they were to speak of the slummy Bronx, or untamed Harlem? I bet they’d […]
